Could Zion Williamson’s favorite rapper become his future agent?
That’s the question everyone’s asking after Jay Z — also the founder of Roc Nation Sports — showed up in Pittsburgh to watch the Duke forward:
Wiliamson scored 25 in front of the rapper and wasn’t fazed:
Williamson admitted he noticed Jay-Z — whose representatives reached out to Pitt a few weeks ago about stopping by — and pointed out the rapper’s song “A Dream” is on his pregame playlist.
“That was like a dream come true,” Williamson said. “To me, he’s the GOAT” — greatest of all time.
Williamson isn’t lying. He’s proven his Jay Z fandom in the past. In a series of blog posts he did for USA TODAY High School Sports in 2017, he talked all about the rapper. Here’s one where he talks about his love for Drake too:
OK, on the music side, y’all already know what it is with Drake and how often I listen him, but lately I’ve been going back and listening to more Jay Z.
I went back and listened to The Black Album and The Blueprint and just got reminded of how cold he is!
And again, later that year:
OK on the music side, you already know I’m still listening to Drake, J. Cole, Jay Z and Migos.
But I’ve really been listening to Jay Z a lot more than normal.
He just spits that truth. I can’t say it’s just one album either, I’m all over the place with what I’m listening to from him.
Advantage, Jay Z.
Could it help Jay Z get Zion to Roc Nation Sports?
