Tiger Woods will return to the course alongside caddie Joe LaCava for his first event of 2019 on Thursday at Torrey Pines. The duo opened up about their close relationship in an interview with GOLFTV, and LaCava explained a major difference between working for his old boss, 1992 Masters champion Fred Couples, and working for Tiger.
“Well the must-dos that I still haven’t got used to after 8 years is having a fresh glove on the first tee. You know, you work for Fred [Couples] for 21 years with no glove, and Tiger’s looking at me on the first tee like ‘well….?’
I’m like ‘well what?’ ‘Where’s my glove?’”
Woods will tee off at 1:40 p.m. ET on Thursday.
Tiger’s caddie says he still hasn’t gotten used to one ritual before each round.
