Klay Thompson has embraced his newfound passion for throwing down dunks this year. And that takes some getting used to.
Steph Curry is still going through that adjustment period, apparently.
During the Warriors’ game against the Pacers on Monday, Thompson went strong to the basket and threw down a one-handed dunk. Curry emerged from the bench to celebrate, and he was so excited that he … fell on his face.
Thompson’s career-high dunk total for a season is 21 from back in 2014-15. He already has 16 dunks this season, and we’re not even in February.
I would say that Thompson should be in the dunk contest, but in the interest of Curry’s health, I wouldn’t advise that.
Still, Klay has come a long ways since his China Klay dunking days.
Steph was too excited.
