Reporter uses water bottles to show just how loud the Superdome was against the Rams

The Superdome has long been one of the league’s toughest places to play. The passion of Saints fans combined with a domed stadium makes communication a challenge for any team. This is nothing new.

Yet, during Sunday’s NFC Championship Game, the noise level seemingly came as a shock to the Rams as they struggled to communicate for much of the first half.

But how loud was the Superdome really on Sunday? It apparently was shaking the press box.

Saints reporter Nick Underhill shared a video from the game, focusing just on his water bottles. The crowd noise had the water literally shaking in the first half. It was straight out of Jurassic Park.

The noise may have even contributed to pieces of the media workroom’s roof breaking. Nola.com’s Julie Boudwin tweeted that pieces fell from the ceiling after DeMario Davis picked off Jared Goff.

I think it’s loud.

Yeah, seems loud.

LOUD NOISES.
