The relationship between former teammates Kyrie Irving and LeBron James is one of the most fascinating storylines in the NBA this year, and James added a new chapter to the story on Instagram this week.
Earlier this month, Irving surprised James by calling him and apologizing for how he handled playing alongside LeBron in Cleveland.
“I had to call Bron, you know, and tell him like, you know, ‘I apologize for being that young player that wanted everything at his fingertips.’ I wanted everything to be at my threshold. I wanted to be the guy that led us to championships. I wanted to be the leader. I wanted to be all that.”
James was having dinner with Kevin Love at the time. According to The Athletic’s Joe Vardon, James was “very appreciative” of the message.
If you follow James on Instagram, you know that he’ll often record himself listening or singing along to music from the back of a vehicle. On Friday, James curiously tagged Kyrie Irving in an Instagram story and sang a four-year old Fetty Wap deep cut called “Rewind.”
Skip Bayless, to no one’s surprise, was not a fan.
What does this mean?!
