The tradition continues for this game, two NFL coaches have been drafted in to oversee the teams for the all-star game, with Oakland Raiders head Jon Gruden heading up North and Kyle Shanahan of the San Francisco 49ers lending his expertise to the opposition.
South dominated last year’s Senior Bowl 45-16 to pick up a third consecutive victory in this game, and they can break a record more than 50 years old if they defeat the North again come Saturday.
South can accomplish something that hasn’t been achieved in more than half a century with a victory on Saturday, while North aim to win their first Senior Bowl since 2015.
South Carolina wide receiver Deebo Samuel (South) has impressed in practice this week and will be one of the major offensive prospects to keep tabs on, as will USC tackle Chuma Edoga (North). Edoga, in particular, has been talked about as one whose draft stock has risen considerably in Mobile.
