Kyler Murray declared for the NFL draft on Monday as indications point to him choosing football over baseball. And now the Heisman Trophy winner is getting some reps in with an All-Pro talent.
Disgruntled Steelers receiver Antonio Brown shared a video on Sunday of him running routes with Murray playing quarterback. Brown’s cousin and former Oklahoma receiver Hollywood Brown was also participating in the drills at Allen High School in Texas.
While everything Brown has done since missing Week 17’s game has been dissected, there’s probably not much to read into this video. He was working out with his cousin and his cousin’s former quarterback. The pass and catch from both Murray and Brown were impressive.
I probably wouldn’t have chosen that route given the tight constraints and precarious hallway (See: Reggie Bush in St. Louis), but Brown handled it well.
Hollywood declared for the NFL draft on Jan. 2.
We’ll have to see if Murray — a projected first-round pick — ultimately sticks with football.
Quite the duo.
