This one is for those of you who might be at Super Bowl LIII Opening Night on Monday: What if New England Patriots twins Jason and Devin McCourty are fielding interviews next to each other and you want to ask one McCourty a question … and you don’t know which one is which?
Assuming they’re not wearing their jerseys — Jason, the cornerback, wears No. 30 and Devin the safety is 32 — we’re here to help as we did with the NBA twins Markieff and Marcus Morris, who play for different teams these days.
The secret is getting up close and seeing their faces. From an NJ Advance Media story last year:
Jason: I have a chicken pox scar on my forehead and his is on his nose. Our high school football coach, that was his way. There’s a birthmark on my neck. His face has always been a little fatter than mine. He looks a little sleepier. Other than that, good luck. We both don’t have hair. Facial hair is similar. Same height, same weight.
Devin: Chicken pox scars: Mine on my nose and his on his forehead. And, to me, head shape.
Got it? Here’s a close-up of Jason, where you can see a small scar above his eyebrows:
And this Devin in 2015 — you can see a small scar right in the middle of his nose (as well as the lack of a forehead scar):
That’s it! Time for a test to see if you can get it. Which one is which in this recent photo?
That’s Devin in the front and Jason in the back!
This might help on Super Bowl Opening Night.
